The University of Évora advocates an internationalization policy as a key process in the development of the institution. It becomes crucial to participate in mobility cooperation projects that allow our students and staff to gain international experience and improve their teaching and learning processes in accordance with the best practices developed by other organizations recognized as excellent. The Mobility Support Office was the responsible for enhancing and proposing to the rectory the signature of new strategic bilateral agreements with others universities. The basic goal of the project was the substantial increase of mobility and consequent internationalization, where the Office had the responsibility to coordinate the submission and the selection of proposals for international cooperation, to promote the participation of students and staff in preparatory meetings, conferences, networks and meetings at European level. By increasing the number of mobilities, the European area of education increases and strengths, contributes to the modernization of higher education, creates a European area endowed with basic skills to compete and have success at the World level.
