EBC Hochschule University of Applied Sciences is a teaching-oriented, private University for business studies with approximately 1.000 students in four German cities, offering different bachelor programs. Explicitly international study programs are building the foundation of EBC Hochschule. A study abroad and an internship abroad period are mandatory for all bachelor programs. Furthermore, we would like to establish an international culture that incorporates all areas of our school, as well as all of our students and lecturers. Our goal is to let everyone involved profit from the internationalization process at EBC Hochschule on a personal and professional level. To enhance the quality of student care, to establish valuable teaching methods and to broaden the international profile of our institution shall further improve the appeal for students and lecturers. Our students receive language courses in at least two different languages. The continuous support of our students and the unproblematic recognition of foreign university courses and internships abroad show the international focus of our study programs. Through the ERASMUS-Program we are able to financially support our students to help them fulfill the expected international experience abroad. Therefore we focus our efforts in supporting student mobilities for studies on a wider scale. In comparison, the demand for financial support during study abroad terms was a lot higher than support for internships abroad. Through completing the mandatory study abroad periods our students are highly qualified on a personal and professional level. They have learned, even during their studies, to integrate themselves in new learning methods and work cultures. They are better prepared for a globalized job market and a globalized economy. With their participation in the ERASMUS-Program and its financial aid, they can realize their study abroad and internship abroad periods and experience European practicality and the freedom that comes with it.
