In retrospect, the HAW Hamburg is proud to have realized a successful run and completion of the Erasmus + project 2014/15. The statistical evaluation of all related mobilities and the financial support confirm this positive analysis. First of all, it was necessary to gain experience in handling a completely newly structured mobility programme that only with time passing revealed its improvements and all of its modifications and which needed to be brought in line with the existing structures of the HAW Hamburg. Necessary changes in terms of internal organization, processes, information channels, newly introduced digital data acquisition systems and of course the innovations and revised contents as well as the regulations of the Erasmus + program - all of these aspects needed to be revised fundamentally. At the end of the project Erasmus+ 2014/15, the total number of realized mobilities adds up to 204 mobilities. 115 out of 204 participants were female and 89 participants were male. None of the participants requested a financial support for disadvantaged conditions, one program participant (SMS) requested and received a financial support for proven disability. 178 mobilities out of the total number of 204 funded mobilities were students and 26 were staff members of the HAW Hamburg. The number of successfully conducted mobilities remained only slightly behind the target figures and can thus be stated as stable according to the statistics over the past Erasmus projects. Only in the activity "student mobility for studies" the HAW Hamburg denotes a slight decrease in numbers. The duration of financial support was limited to a maximum of 4 months for "student mobility for studies". For "student mobility for traineeships" the duration of financial support was limited to a maximum of 4.5 months. On average, a student mobility spanned 4 months. 109 students chose to spend a semester at one of our partner universities in the course of the project (SMS). The majority of these students spent one semester as exchange students at the partner institution, 3 students planned a year-long stay from the beginning whereas 4 students decided to spend another semester at the partner university and therefore extended their mobility by another semester. As the evaluation of the project shows, the most popular European countries for a "student mobility for studies" were Spain (37 mobilities), the United Kingdom (15 mobilities), Sweden, and Ireland (each 11 mobilities). A respectable development of mobility figures has been achieved by the competent Erasmus + project coordinators at HAW Hamburg in the activity type of "student mobility for traineeships". A significant increase of 176% compared to the previous Erasmus project was accomplished at HAW Hamburg. The United Kingdom (22 mobilities), Spain (9 mobilities), the Netherlands (9 mobilities), and Denmark (7 mobilities) were the most popular destinations for HAW Hamburg's students to perform their international internships in the Erasmus+ project of 2014/15. Increasing its goal-oriented advertising and its strong networking with the faculties and students supported the International Office's aims and eventually led to positive results in this type of activity. Continuous direct contact with target groups from the 1st year of studies onward has been proven to be a factor of success and have impacted the mobility figures in a positive way. As a result, well-established milestones (such as informational sessions for target groups, use of social media, networks, and print media) have been firmly positioned in the internal processes at HAW Hamburg. The implementation of the objective that Bachelor's degree students should be informed about the possibilities and advantages of studying/doing an internship abroad at an early stage of their studies, which is stated in the European policy statement, was thus successfully implemented and took direct action at HAW Hamburg. The activity types "staff mobility for teaching" and "staff mobility for training" have also evolved positively. Existing partnerships with relevant institutions in the Netherlands, Spain, Finland, and the United Kingdom have been actively maintained by employees of the HAW Hamburg by conducting mobilities to ensure a secure and further development of the necessary academic educational exchange as the medium - and long-term goals. The number of staff mobilities was raised by 36 % to 26 participants compared to the previous project and to the planned number of 19.
