Since 1991 the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg is engaged in the ERASMUS programme. It first received the university charter in 2003 which contains the principles for the ERASMUS activities. The ERASMUS objectives have been fully achieved and made a positive alue on the internationalisation of the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg. Due to the higher monthly promotion rates the requests for staying abroad have increased and have been implemented in many cases. Moreover, there is a greater flexibility concerning funding opportunites which cover more than one semester. The internationalisation and the cultural sentizitation of students and university staff can be clearly felt.
