Higher education student and staff mobility project

Slovak Medical University in Bratislava spent 100% of the allocated financial grant from Call 2014 for project implementation under the Erasmus + Key Action 1: Learning mobility of individuals. Implementation of Erasmus + programme on Slovak Medical University in Bratislava is covered by the International Relations Office, which is organisationally part of the Rector's office, in cooperation with the Faculties of the Slovak Medical University in Bratislava. The aim of the project activities was to carry out study and traineeship mobilities abroad by students of Slovak Medical University in Bratislava and the promotion and improvement of teaching and non-teaching skills and competences through mobilities for teaching and training purpose. Slovak Medical University realized 25 student mobilities for study, 7 student mobilities for practical placements (including the pilot mobility of fresh graduate), 6 mobilities of pedagogical staff for the purpose of teaching and 6 staff mobilities for training. Activities carried out successfully pursued the strategy of internationalization of the Slovak Medical University in Bratislava. Mobility flows were carried out mainly with the Czech Republic, Germany and Italy. Cooperation with Portugal, Lithuania and Spain is progressively developing through Erasmus+ programme. Slovak Medical University in frames of Erasmus+ programme received students from Portugal and Lithuania, and university staff members from France, Czech Republic, Portugal and Lithuania. Slovak Medical University appreciates the opportunity to be an institution participating in the Erasmus + programme. The involvement in mobility activities brings a lot of positive results to the university for example: development of international cooperation in various medical and healthcare disciplines, enrichment of study programmes, enhancement of adaptation to contemporary society challenges or improvement of learning and employment opportunities for members of the academic community of the university.
