St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences has an internationalisation agenda that builds on 1) increased opportunities of academic mobility for students and staff, 2) close co-operation with relevant partner universities, 3) participation in national and international research projects, 4) enhancing internationalisation at home, and 5) equipping graduates with international competencies. Erasmus mobility is a major aspect of our international activities. In the academic year 2014/15 the numbers of individual mobility were high across the various groups of students, lecturers and staff and even reached an all-time high among outgoing lecturers on Erasmus Teaching Assignments.
All of the six academic departments - Media and Economics; Media and Digital Technologies; Computer Science and Security; Rail Technology and Mobility; Health Sciences; Social Sciences - evaluated their bilateral university partnerships and identified relevant partners for close collaboration in the future. At the same time new partnerships were formed with compatible universities across Europe.
Academic co-operation continues to focus on European partners. There are strong partnerships for the mutual and often balanced exchange of students and the faculty's commitment to the international partnerships has risen. Erasmus partnerships were strengthened through sustained bilateral exchanges and through the initiation of Erasmus multilateral projects or project proposals. First steps have been taken to initiate joint projects in research.
