International mobility is one of the key areas of internationalisation strategy of Slovenian Higher Education system. Student and staff mobility brings many benefits to both individuals and institutions. Significant effects on the participants and institutions are the following: the acquisition of new skills, greater independence, enhanced sense of initiative and entrepreneurship, enhanced intercultural awareness, improved knowledge of foreign languages, better options for employability as a result of the international experience and newly acquired competencies, improved educational system as good practice is transfered both way (to and from abroad), more dynamic, dedicated and professional environment and enhanced knowledge and capacity to act at international level.
Final findings regarding the contribution, which is a result of participation in Erasmus+, is the development of the individual, improvement and acquisition of new competencies that lead to better education of the individual, better employment prospects and career progress, more advanced higher institution with better quality and, consequently, development and improvement of the society. Mobility is therefore one of the tools to achieve the ultimate goal of improving society as a whole.
Within Erasmus+ 2014, we conducted 8 mobilities of students for the purpose of studying abroad, 4 mobilities for the purpose of teaching, 2 staff mobility for for the purpose of training abroad. In the implementation of all activities we took into account all the ECHE principles.
Dissemination of the results is aimed at a wider range: prospective students, current students, Alumni, our business partners, employees at GEA College, external lecturers and others. Each participant of the mobility prepares a short presentation of the results of mobility, which we expand on different presentations to the students, at open and introductory days for students, staff meetings, different type of meetings of the lecturers, on our website and social networks, and via e-newsletter, which we send through programs for mass mailings.
