Higher education student and staff mobility projec..
Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014,
End date: Sep 30, 2015
PROJECT
FINISHED
The main purpose of the project was to enable European University of Business? students, academic teachers and administration staff carefully recruited by the beneficiary to visit the institutions of the countries participating in Erasmus + Programme. It has also provided an opportunity to host students and staff from partner institutions. The project was implemented according to the University?s need for the permanent development of the educational system through its internationalization. All the mobilities were organized in order to fulfil study or internship program in the partner universities or institutions and teaching or training programs in the partner units. Students leave for a period of two months to a full academic year, staff for the period from 2 days to 2 months. All mobilities are held on the basis of the established in advance and approved mobility program described in the individual Learning Agreement. European Uniersity of Business has finally achieved to organize 19 student mobilities for placements, 3 student mobilities for studies, 6 staff mobilities for teaching assignments and 15 staff mobilities for training.
Apart from implementing the mobilities, the University has taken a number of activities designed to prepare students for such overseas experience, like: preparatory courses in a foreign language, information meetings concerning all conditions of exchange, support for the incoming students. During the mobility, Erasmus+ coordinator with the support of his team was assisting the participants in meeting all formal obligations.
The University has also been organizing integration events aimed at familiarizing the students with the Erasmus+ programme, exchange of experiences, mutual understanding of cultures and customs. The project has helped to raise the internationalization of the University. Some bilateral agreements established under the Erasmus + programme between universities resulted in numerous joint activities and projects at various educational levels, not strictly related to the implementation of the Erasmus + programmes (including the joint curriculum, conferences, guest lectures, exchange of scientific articles published in scientific journals).
According to the new strategy, the European University of Business plans to create in the nearest future a joint curriculum that will be implemented in several partner institutions of higher education, so students will be able to obtain so-called ?double diploma?. The University?s supreme mission is to educate business people who are open to the global and diverse world and who can find themselves in rapidly changing civilization. The most important objective of the University is to ensure good preparation for employment and provide students with a competitive advantage in domestic and international labor market. The Erasmus+ programme fits perfectly into the policies and strategies of the University.
