University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy (UACEG ) has bilateral agreements with many high schools and universities from 27 partner countries. During the previous year, their total number reached 94. The students' and staffs' mobility is an important element from the international activity of our University. UACEG has also bilateral agreements for double diploma with Technische Universitat (TU) Wien, Austria and Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussees - Paristech, France. Despite the decreasing number of students, participating in this programs, this might have not be possible without the grants for students mobility.
A period of education in a foreign university contributes for the increase of the professional potential of the future architects and engineers. The stay abroad itself lets them gain direct impressions from the established environment - quality of construction, building and equipment maintenance and etc., which is particularly valuable for their development. After a contact with other educational system and traditions, these students introduce corrections to the development of the educational methods at home and contribute for the quality of education. The number of outgoing students is stabled between 60-70 mobilities, which is around 1.5% out 4000 students.
The advantages for the students realizing mobility for education are - highlighting on the labor market, advancing language knowledges and achieving different point of view. Key competences like planing and organizing of assignments and activities, working in a team and in multicultural environment are being developed. Their capacity for decision making and information analysis is being developed, thus enhancing their own abilities.
The staff mobility is referring young colleagues with the purpose of experience gaining, contacts establishing and applying of contemporary approaches of education into the respective subjects. Through the increase of the number of the staff mobilities, are the possibilities of future mutual activities and participation in common programs increased.
