Our principal objective has always been a progressive expansion within Europe, to include the new countries which have joined the great Erasmus family from 2014 onwards. Recently we have also signed new I.I.A.s with South Korea, Russia, Azerbaijan and are also in negotiations with Kazakstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. The institutes we have contacted are the principal ones in their respective countries and with whom we are developing bilateral movements of both students and staff, apart from bringing entire institutions to fruition. In the long term we can foresee our expansion into the whole of Asia. We have proposed “Weeks of Italian Musical Culture” to the countries with whom we have recently signed bilateral agreements (South Korea and Russia), together with contributions from both staff and students in the partner countries. These proposals have met with an enthusiastic take-up. With such a wide range of choices, our students have been amply able to satisfy their didactic and artistic choices, usually by contacting their first-choice institutions. Some of our students, after having spent an entire academic year abroad as part of an Eramus scheme, have returned to the same institution to complete a second cycle.
