HISTORIQUE DU PROJET
The Université de Pau et des Pays de l'Adour (UPPA) has been taking part to the European program for mobility since its creation. It is quite natural and important for a HEI like UPPA to propose to its students and its staff these opportunities of mobilities.
GOALS
The goals of this project are varied and depend on the profiles of the participants. For students, it is a way to discover a culture, to learn from pedagogical methods different from those that can be used at UPPA, on the one hand, and to increase their future employability in larger area than the national scale, on the other hand. For the staff, mobilities can be a way to reinforce our existing collaborations with our partners and to share about good practice.
NUMBER AND TYPE/PROFILE OF THE PARTICIPANTS
Anyone involved at the UPPA may be viewed as a potential participant: students, teachers and professors, and admistrative staff. Symmetrically, UPPA welcomes for an incoming mobility anyone from the same types of participants. As far as incoming mobilities are concerned, 233 mobilities took place, among which 187 student mobilities. As far as outgoing mobilities are concerned, 224 mobilities took place, among which 180 student mobilities.
DESCRIPTION OF THE ACHIEVED ACTIVITIES
The different achieved activities correspond to the four following kinds of mobilities:
- student mobility for studies (SMS) and/or student mobility for placement (SMP) for students;
- staff mobility for teaching activities (STA) for teachers and professors;
- staff mobility for traineeship (STT) for all the staff.
RESULTS AND ACHIEVED IMPACTS
The student mobility flows have been globally constant for several years. We are currently trying to develop staff mobility (both STA and STA). Indeed, internationalization of the staff can be a tool to foster student mobility.
