Dennis Gabor College had been taking part in mobility projects under the framework of the Lifelong Learning Programme and continued the participation in the Erasmus+ Programme.
Our main goals were to increase intensity and quality in the mobility programme - both in- and outbound -; strengthen our presence in European higher education and working on the internationalization of our education.
As a small higher educational institution, we only had a low number of outgoing mobilities; two student mobilities ? one for study and one for traineeship -; three teaching and one staff mobilities.
On the other hand, the number of incoming students and teachers has increased; we had thirteen incoming students (eleven for studies and two for traineeship) and six teachers and staff members visited the college.
This was the second academic year when DGC offered courses in English and had the opportunity to accept incoming students. Therefore, we placed a great emphasis on the development of the courses and students services available in English and widened the range of additional programmes to help the integration of exchange students (excursion, company visits, etc.). Our teachers? participation in the mobility programme had a direct and positive impact on the quality of these activities.
Even though the participation of outgoing students fell short of expectations, we consider the project successful; it helped the college strengthen its cooperation with several partner universities and provided valuable experience in the internationalisation of education.
