The university of Liège has taken part in the Erasmus programme from the beginning. It encourages student and staff mobility. It has already reached the European objective of 20% of graduates students who have made a mobility during their studies.
Programmes are more and more structured around student mobility. The univeristy tries to strengthen existing collaborations to make them sustainable. To this end, the university proposes more programmes in English at the master level. It also tries to attract privileged partners and encourages double degrees and Erasmus Mundus in leading areas.
Mobility for teaching works quite well, due to privileged contacts of our teachers with foreign colleagues. These incoming and outgoing mobilities contribute to the internationalisation of our programmes.
We started mobility for training not so long ago and it is growing gradually. This allows another kind of staff (usually administrative) to experience mobility and to share practices with foreign colleagues. This contributes to the internationalisation of the institution.
