Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: Sep 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The University of Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (UVSQ) develops an ambitious policy in terms of international relations and development of intra-European mobility for its students, professors and administrative staff. The International Relation Office is composed of 7 people, and implements the University international strategy. Four people are in charge of mobility (2 dedicated to the incoming mobility and two dedicated to the outgoing mobility), another one is in charge of financial and administrative management of the ERASMUS+ program and two others are responsible for the implementation and monitoring of European and international agreements. UVSQ participates in the program since its inception. The objective is to foster international student mobility. In order to give UVSQ students wishing to study abroad the best information possible, an "international" website was structured to contain an extensive information on mobility; it is regularly updated. In addition, the International Relation Office organizes a "week of international mobility" each year, during which students can learn about available mobility programs including the ERASMUS + program, meet students participating in ERASMUS+ exchanges. Recognizing the importance of language training for its students but also for the internationalization of its curriculum, UVSQ manages its own Language Centre (CEREL), which aims to develop language skills for educational and professional success. In 2014/2015, seventy-one students participated in ERASMUS + mobility, among them, a majority of law students, dual-degree in English and law, as well as literature and civilization, English and Spanish students. One of UVSQ goals is to diversify the range of disciplines and to encourage science students to go abroad for mobility. Female students represent 67% of outgoing mobilities.
