Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: Sep 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

We have taken part in mobility projects for apprentice students since the school year 2007-08. The school understands that the teachers? mobility is also essential for the improving of the quality and relevance of higher studies, because it allows a bidirectional formation which benefits both the host and guest countries. Thus, we have already had several experiences in the field, having been both hosts and guests for teachers ourselves. In the high school, we have professional training studies of second and third European level. We support the innovative training of our students and teachers, and we work in collaboration with the University in diverse projects and researches, both for degree and postgraduate studies. We have sent 10 students for their practise in companies in the frame of our own project, and other consortium. Five of these students have obtained a job in the foreign country. The students are from different fields and have gone to different countries as Portugal, Italy, Malta and Poland. This is the second year we have worked in Malta and we think it is a very good choice for our students to improve their English skills, because United Kingdom and Ireland are too expensive for them. We have sent student to Portugal for the first time and it has been a good experience also, so we wil continue offering our students this destination. Poland and Italy have been two adequate destinations for many years. We also have carried out staff mobility, sending two teachers abroad, one to Italy and another to the United Kingdom. They have attend a week teachers´ training and have share the experience with all the teachers in their department (field). We will continue this way.
