Under the framework of Erasmus+ Program, Hitit University carried out four types of Learning Mobility of Individuals: Student Mobility for Studies, Student Mobility for Traineeships, Staff Mobility for Teaching and Staff Mobility for Training. In accordance with the grant provided by Turkish National Agency for 2014 Project, objectives and the aimed numbers of the project, such necessary arrangements as revising present inter-institutional agreements, building new academic collaborations through new Erasmus+ agreements, contacting with the partner institutions in terms of their requirements for application procedures at Hitit University. For instance, foreign language certificates in English or mother tongue of the institution were demanded by numerous higher education institutions. Moreover, the contents and list of the courses available for related term were demanded from partner universities with the aim of providing the recognition of the courses within the applicability of European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). All the requirements from partner universities were taken into account in order to accomplish a quality application process. Considering the amount of grant provided to Hitit University in 2014 Grant Agreement, effective activities were conducted so as to attain the determined numbers of students and staff who will benefit from the mobility.
As for the profile of the participants, the students were mostly from first and second cycle and the staff taught and got trained particularly in bachelor?s and master?s degrees. To conclude, undertaken activities during the project enabled creating a mutual higher education area with the use of ECTS, contributing to academic lives of the students through full recognition and to professional development of the students and staff, building intercultural communication between the beneficiaries, supervising the language progress of the students.
