Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: Sep 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

Erasmushogeschool Brussel's internationalization strategy has 3 main focusses: 1. ensuring the quality of study programs 2. contributing to a sense of European and global citizenship within a globalized knowledge society among students and staff 3. contributing to the advancement of the knowledge triangle and the development of Flanders and Brussels as competitive and internationally networked regions. Erasmus mobility for staff and students has been, for many years, one of the main instruments used by EhB to realize especially the second aspect of the strategy. In the strategic plan for 2012-16 we have set the following goals: - an outgoing mobility of 16% of all graduates, further aiming at 20% by 2020. Erasmus mobility of study or traineeships is one of the instruments that creates possibilities of realizing that goal. - a mobility window for outgoing mobility within every study program - an academic offer of at least 1 semester for incoming students within every study program - participation of at least 1 teacher per year per study program in the Erasmus teacher exchange program - integration in the curriculum of the teaching by at least 1 incoming Erasmus teacher per year per study program - regular international benchmarking to ensure the quality of all programs, at least once every three years The mobility realized under the Erasmus+ program contributed to the realization of these goals. In 2014-15 13% of the 1038 EhB graduates had been on mobility during their studies. This means that we are on track, but still need to develop some extra efforts to get to 16% in 2016-17 and to 20% in 2020.
