The University for Foreigners Perugia, founded in 1921, is the oldest and most prestigious Italian institution involved in teaching and research activities as well as in the diffusion of the Italian language and civilization in all expressions.
Since 1999 the University takes regurarly part in the Erasmus mobility actions as natural expression of its international and intercultural vocation, organising students' mobility for study and traineeship purpose (for students enrolled in first, second and thirds level degree courses), mobility of administrative staff for training purpose and mobilities of teaching staff for teaching purpose.
The main aim is allowing the highest percentage of the enrolled students to experience an outbound mobility as part of their academic curriculum.
The results obtained show that the percentage of the students who benefitted from an Erasmus scholarship is higher than the national average, all the applicants have been offered the possibility of a mobility spot upon regular application.
The range of cooperations has been been enlarged to reach and cover almost all the European countries to face the need of diversification in terms of didactic aspects and hosting insitutions.
