The completed project was a mobility project for higher education students and staff supported under Key Action 1 of Erasmus+ programme. It involved study and traineeship mobilities for students and teaching and training mobilities for the staff at Piri Reis University, Istanbul, for a period of 16 months (June 1, 2014 ? September 30, 2015). The aim of the project was to enhance and strengthen the internationalisation at Piri Reis University. It mainly covered activities with the Programme Countries. This mobility project promoted students in the first cycle only. 19 study (22 in the agreement) and 5 training (7 in the agreement) activities were supported. All of the students were from the field of engineering. Students studied in Romania, Latvia, Poland, and Spain. Placements were in Malta, Poland, and UK. Mostly academic staff of the University received funds for staff mobility. They visited HEIs at Italy, Romania, and Belgium. The numbers of incoming (21) and outgoing students (19) for study were well balanced as well as incoming (5) and outgoing staff (6) numbers. The incoming students and staff were from Programme Countries such as Latvia and Romania. The project contributed to the internationalisation of the University, allowed students to be acquainted with different cultures and improved their language skills. The students were much more confident when they returned.
