Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project was carried out during the period 1st June 2014 until 31st May 2016 in order to implement the requirements set out in the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education as well as the general and specific objectives of the Erasmus+ programme. 53 students and staff members of Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences took part in this project. Furthermore, incoming exchange students from our partner universities in the Erasmus-area were involved. The project aimed to give students the opportunity to complete part of their studies or a traineeship abroad and thus to support the linguistic and intercultural learning of the students and to improve their chances in the labor market. Additionally, both teachers and employees of the university were given the opportunity to teach at the partner universities or take part in training events. During these visits they could also discuss future projects between the universities. The stays abroad contributed to an improvement of the language skills of the staff members and their intercultural awareness. This will have a positive influence on their future encounters with our international guests as well as exchange students. A total of 37 students (22 for an internship abroad, 15 for a semester) and 16 staff members (eight for teaching mobility and eight for a training mobility) took part in the project.
