As a small, highly specialized university that understands internationality as an integral part of its mission statement, the University of Hohenheim currently has around 80 partnerships with educational and research institutions throughout the world and more than 100 Bilateral Agreements in the Erasmus+ program.
Therefore, for the future the University Hohenheim pursues less a quantitative expansion of the exchange agreements rather than to focus on partners and networks that meet its teaching and research profile, especially in the research fields of bio-economy.
The University of Hohenheim has realized 163 mobilities of the 167 planned mobilities. This corresponds to an implementation rate of 97.6%; The granted funds were spent at 100%. Therefore the planned mobility objectives have been realized.
About 95% of the students who participated in the Erasmus+ program - incoming students as well as outgoing students - were very satisfied with their stay abroad. The incoming students thus get a very positive impression of the quality in teaching and research at the University of Hohenheim. Despite the small size, the University of Hohenheim is perceived as highly competent in its research areas and its teaching. The Erasmus+ exchange promotes a positive attitude towards the European Union and enhances tolerance and understanding for other cultures and countries. These are the prerequisites in order to be able to live in a globalised world and in a multicultural social environment.
