Higher education student and staff mobility projec..
Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 2, 2014,
End date: May 31, 2016
PROJECT
FINISHED
In general, we can conclude that our project was carried out satisfactorily. There were achieved 11 mobilities in total (4 SMS, 2 SMP, 3 SM and 2 ST), but we could have achieved more mobilities since we have 1 SMP mobility left which was not achieved due to withdrawal of the student due to the personal reasons. Regarding the SMS, there were 4 SMS and 1 SMP performed. It demonstrates the interest of our students to undertake new experiments in other countries and in international labor environment, in order to improve their Curriculum. Thus, we can conclude instead of 6 student mobility flows that were awarded to our Institution there were only 5 achieved with 1 SMP to be achieved . Concerning to staff mobilities, there were in total 6 mobilities performed instead of 5 awarded, which also demonstrates a good grant management. The participants profile is diverse, as well as their true intentions to perform the Erasmus+ mobility. Many are seeking for new experience, to enrich their curriculum, to foster a possibility of change of country and perhaps, to find a future workplace. As for the staff, these are seeking to create a new partnerships, international consortia in order to carry out a joint research. The language skills improvement is also one of the factors that leads the participants to undertake the mobility. The mobilities of this project were held in variouse countries, Spain, Romenia, Bulgaria and Poland, which are representing not only the students will and choice, but also the inter-institutional agreements that our institution holds. It should be noted the importance of such partnerships, which have enhanced the Erasmus+ exchanges both of inbound and outbound participants. During these two years of project execution and management, we received around 23 inbound participants (both students and staff) coming from the most diverse institutions. These numbers demonstrate our growth, dynamic and capability to enhance the Erasmus + Programme. The Erasmus+ Programme is extremely important for our institution, since it is located in a city in the countryside of Portugal as such the opportunities are reduced in comparison to other contexts. The Erasmus+ Programme is extremely important for our institution, since it is located in a city in the countryside of Portugal as such the opportunities are reduced in comparison to other contexts. In order to raise new key issues such as equal rights, territorial balance, equal opportunities, access to higher education, we have an even more rewarding mission which is unique and engages with the community. In addition to quality education we develop through Erasmus+ Programme, we open doors to Europe to our students and staff. As for the benefits and added values, these are numerous due to various undertaken mobilities as well as students and staff we have received. It is important to highlight the cultural potential, the knowledge and know-how, the various partnerships between teachers with the aim to carry out joint research, the true potential of the students curriculum, the potential to create consortia for new projects or joint master's degrees. In order to develop its scientific and educational project and internationalization, it is also important to note, that in addition to the Erasmus + Programme our Institution has established a number of institutional relations with other HEIs out of European Union. At last, we would also like to make reference to the creation, structuring and development of international project Entrepreneurship4Sport (e4sport). Its strategic aim is to convert the ideas whithin sports through young people training and promotion (18 to 30) into entrepreneurship and creation of business projects. The “e4sport” emerged from the partnership and the consortium creation between Instituto de Estudos Superiores de Fafe, the Portuguese Sport Management Association (APOGESD) and the Asociación Galega de Xestores Deportivos (AGAXEDE). It was duly approved and funded by the Erasmus + Youth in Action Programme and has been developed and carried out during this academic year .
