Instituto Superior de Serviço Social do Porto is an Higher Education Institution established in 1956 with a long tradition and experience in the education of social stakeholders. In the 1st cycle has the degree of Social Work and Gerontology and in 2nd cycle offers Master degrees in Social Gerontology and Intervention in Childhood and Youth at Risk of Social Exclusion. The development of international cooperation between higher education institutions in the same field of knowledge has been a constant concern of ISSSP and the program Erasmus + studies and internships are resources that have always been used as long as possible to support such cooperation.
The project's main participants are: Teachers who made mobility with partner universities in educational activities / research and simultaneously supported students in mobility:
Prof. Berta Granja - mobility at the University of Ostrava, Czech Republic, where it was possible to develop lectures / classes for students Doctoral and Master degree in Social Work. During mobility was still possible to carry out study visits in institutions working within the framework of social policies. This mobility conducted during the mobility study period of 4 students at the University of Ostrava was also important to ensure the monitoring of students and evaluation of the conditions of reception, stay, language problems and studies.
Prof. Berta Granja - mobility at the University of Lille,France. In addition to teaching in the master's degree in social work at the university, the meetings with the teachers allowed to present a project with this university for a strategic partnership that was approved and considered innovative and relevant (did not have financing due to lack of funds).
Prof. Adriano Zilhão - Mobility at the University of Ostfália, Germany, where he attended a seminar with other teachers from Sweden, Denmark, Germany and England. As a result of this cooperation our teacher and students of Social Gerontology attended the seminar ?Transcultural Care and Social Inclusion?, 2-4 March / 2015 Wolfenbüttel / Germany. This cooperation will proceed in May 2016 with the organization of a seminar "Social challenges of aging" with students and teachers from Germany, Sweden, Denmark, England and Portugal.
Prof. José Alberto Reis - Mobility at the University of Castilla la Mancha, Spain where it was possible to develop conferences for 1st cycle students in social work and meet with the international relations department to deepen the relations between both institutions. As a result of this visit ISSSP will receive and arrange some visits of study for a group of 20 students and teachers from Spain in January / 2016.
