Our "Heroic Fantasy" is both an innovating project and a continuity. A continuity regarding our school plans based on cultural opening, languages learning and international cooperation. We have chosen four main goals : - Communication, comprehension, reading and writing skills according to CEFR - Common European Framework of References for Languages (A1 by 5th grade at elementary school and B2 by 9th grade class at middle school). Speaking and oral understanding activities or workshops will be our priority through our exchange and correspondence project. - New digital technologies skills both for students and teachers. An annual seminar will be proposed for teachers. All the teachers but also the students will communicate through those new digital technologies (video conferences, actions shared on the "wiki" website especially dedicated for this project). - Cultural diversity skills and European countries knowledge. We consider that being awared of other ways of living in foreign countries may help the students to understand other ways of being and acting. - Civic education skills which aim a spirit of tolerance, but also respect by sharing same projects, activities, countries fairs. Then, the students will know more about European history and European Union construction. Seven schools are part of this project, representating six countries : Greece, Italy, Turkey, Czech Republic and France. For three years, students from European middle school, elementary and pre-elementary schools will learn how to communicate, will learn from each other, will learn about European countries, cultures and will meet and share projects and activities. "Heroic Fantasy" is an European project based on the myths and legends study, European traditional tales (discovering what is different and/or similar). The idea is to make working the students on main and same themes (Odysseum study for example) and to propose a different exploitation and final production (Theatre, dance, videos, poetry, arts, comics...). We want to allow the students to use their mother tongue and English for their expression and communication activities. In that way, "Heroic Fantasy" is a multilingual project and challenge. "Heroic Fantasy" will last three years (or nine trimesters). Each school will be in charge of onepart of the project and will share with the other partners. In that way, we all will share new practises, be responsible of an action, provide lessons plans, innovating pedagogy, work as a team and propose to meet each other on a regular basis (students and teachers). Each action will last three or four months. By the end of the trimester, the final production will be posted on the wiki website especially dedicated to this project ; students exchanges will be planned and done (visio-conferences and/or mobility) and the action will be shared with official supervisers. We won't forget to plan trainings and seminars (linguistic, technologic or others) twice per year. By the end of the project, students will have a good knowledge of the European Union, they will get good languages skills in English which they allow to communicate with their European partners, they will know how to create an internet page, they will have visited several European schools and countries. They will be European ambassadors from their school, their region, their country, for themselves, their teachers and family.The teachers will know new practises and will have been part of innovating project which will be shared with other educative and teachers teams. They will have language skills in English which will allow them to speak fluently and to communicate easily with their European colleagues. "Heroic fantasy" is not a short-term project (even though some goals could be reached before the end of the first semester ). According to the final assessment of the project and according to the acquired skills, it is logical to think that the students will use their skills and knowledge in the future . Three years of a great project, actions, sharings, communication and European friendship and cooperation can't stop suddenly. We are convinced that partnerships will be built and that our partners group will grow. "Heroic Fantasy" could became "International Heroic fantasy"
