PROJECT
FINISHED
- Context/background of project
Learning activities that take place outside formal settings (school, training or professional refreshing training, etc.) are approximately 80% of what we learn during our existence. Contemporary society, characterized by the rapid pace of innovation, should support actions that encourage individuals subjectively and / or objectively weaker in relation to the rapid social changes and to learning difficulties. NEET people are out of any training, education and employment environment, representing a tragical condition of social youth disease that must be faced by the EU by any means, to positively resolve it.
14 million young people are not in employment, education or training across the EU. The economic cost of not integrating Neets is estimated over € 150 billion, or 1.2% of GDP. The project strengthens networking and cooperation activities, enhancing public and private resources that already exist in each country to improve the performance of the learning system, involving public and private offer of services/interventions focused on the needs of NEET. As determined by analysis and statistics, museums are places particularly suited to learning processes for young people. Spaces different from classrooms, away from the rules of academia, museums are places where it is easier to acquire skills. The project adopts the museum space and the many activities that revolve around it to activate virtuous circles of social recovery.
- Objectives
