Integrated in the school program of the Oskar-von-Miller- the school action guideline "We encourage under the aspect of" lifelonglearning "self-learning and action.” requires as result of economic globalization that the OvM offers students opportunities todevelop their professional and personal skills through working and learning experiences abroad. At the same time it is necessary toqualify the teachers accordingly so as to introduce new impulses and ideas for the school and teaching development in the Oskarvon-Miller-school. This applies to the training personnel especially in the field of schooling / vocational preparation of refugees.With the Erasmus+ project for mobility of students and educational staff in VET Challange Europe - Chances for the futur (EUChallange)" Oskar- von-Miller-School in Kassel wants to give the appropriate opportunities to enable the learners of the cooperative vocational education system (Dual VET system)and the VET teachers to acquire or deepen the above mentioned competencies. A total of 66 trainees from different vocational training courses and 8 VET teachers are involved in the project.Participants take part in work placements which are organized by the partner institutions in Czech Republic (VW Skoda, Mlada Boleslav) in Finland (differtn companies in Rovaniemi, organized by Lappland Vocational College) and Sweden (Taseruds Gymnasiet, Arvika) . The VET teachers take part in job shadowing in Sweden (Taserudsgymnasiet , Arvika) in courses with refugees.The project will be managed centrally by the responsible of the Oskar- von-Miller- School; the partner institutions will organizeaccommodation and internship placements.It is expected that the participants already created their technical skills due to the practical activities in the host country deepen(application of previously acquired knowledge and acquiring new knowledge), their foreign language skills deepening (use ofexisting language skills in real situations) and intercultural skills in significant build or strengthen (dealing with other cultures, " thebigger picture "). The teachers deepen their expertise in selected professional fields and in training of refugees.By participating in the project, learners can improve their prospects in the labor market, with an increased willingness foroccupational mobility is expected. For teachers to participate in a mobility project is to be considered as a continuing professionalqualification measure.By means of this project, the Oskar- von-Miller- Kassel hopes to increase the willingness of all stakeholder who are involved in theVET process (apprentices, companies and VET teachers) to contribute to the integration of the immigrant refugees and the acceptance of training companies on the participation of trainees in European mobility products under the Erasmus + program and to contribute to the development of a European spirit in the societiesof the member states.
