The Key Action 1 action in Cygnaeus-lukio in school year 2014-2015 aims mainly to a. develop individual subject teachers' professionalism, b. strengthen and improve the co-operation with our European partner schools (Gymnázium Bilinválne, Slovakia and IES Miguel Catalán, Spain), c. develop teachers' language skills and multicultural competences and d. strengthen team working skills of our teachers. We are applying for seven teacher mobilities for one week period. Our Spanish teacher and mathematics teacher have applied to this programme due to their individual interest and need to widen and strengthen their own professionalism. The mobility of the mathematics teacher aims also strongly to improve the quality of co-operation with our Slovakian partner school. We are planning to continue the individual student mobility with both our Spanish and Slovakian partner school and more there are teachers knowing each other's school life and system, more our students will get out of their mobility periods in the future. The English course for four teacher surges purely from our school's needs, though there has been several teachers among our 50 teachers asking for this kind of activity. We are carrying out annually big international projects and activities with our European partners and the language of the projects is mainly English. This English course offered to our teachers could increase the willingness of participating in these projects among our teachers. The teachers that are capable, willing and ready to talk about their profession in English are also straight benefit to our co-operation with EduCluster ltd. in the field of International expertise in education.
