The HELPS project will define and develop a Distance Learning Technological, Methodological and Organisational System for new, highly-specialised professional figures in the E-learning sector. These specialists will be involved, in particular, in e-Learning Systems Management, in the production and management of e-Learning projects, and in e-Learning content production (expert in e-Authoring & expert developer of innovative content for e-Learning). The project will develop an e-Didactic Paradigm, which will be the basis of the HELPS project and two further reference models (HELPS-Management & HELPS-Development). The project will design four new professional profiles, namely, e-Learning Systems Leader, e-Learning Project Manager, expert in e-Authoring and expert developer of innovative content for e-Learning. A training model and training materials will also be developed focusing upon the required skills, knowledge and abilities. All products will be made available in EN & IT, in printed and electronic (web-based) formats. The main beneficiaries of the project are designers and managers of training programmes, teachers and trainers, managers of ICT companies and technicians within the ICT sector. Dissemination will rely upon the organisation of conferences in each of the participating countries, the creation of a web portal and the publication of regular net-Letters.
