The project intends to promote and integrate cross-border health care systems, through purchasing complementary medical equipment and modernising ORs and, therefore, facilitating access to a wider scale of treatments and infrastructure.Project activities are the following: organising the Cross-Border Health Working Group; awareness raising events; training courses; modernisation and rehabilitation works at the Oradea County hospital; procurement of specialized medical equipment for the two hospitals and exchanges of experience.The direct beneficiaries of the project are the citizens from Bihor-Hajdú-Bihar Euroregion (20.000 people) as well as the staff of Gavril Curteanu Municipal Hospital and of the Medical and Health Science Centre, both surgery sections.The indirect beneficiaries are represented by all the inhabitants of the area, the labour force market and the economic, social and domestic sectors (approx. 1.150.000 persons) as well the National Health Insurance Fund, Ministries of Health that will encourage and support concretely the policies and investments in this field. Expected Results: Some of the project result are: 614 square meters of built / reconstructed buildings; 3 joint strategies/protocols developed; 10 awareness raising events; 1.150.000 people covered by the joint mechanism developed.
