In order to set the basis for cooperation of health insurance institutions for better and more effective treatment of patients, the project aims at conducting a study of the current healthcare system in the Hungarian and Serbian areas of the DKMT Euroregion. Furthermore, there is a long-term vision and proposal to establish a regional health insurance card based on other existing models. The study generated from the project formulates a model for the healthcare institutions, health insurance organisations and decision-makers of the region, in which the mobility of patients is not restricted by national boundaries, and the issue of clearance of accounts and financing should be resolved.
