The relevant institutions and enterprises were visited within the scope of the project pursuant to the work plan made in Ireland and Germany among the EU member states. In what way the active monitoring systems are established on the foods of animal origin, structural components of the system, technologic infrastructure, critical control points, early warning systems, product label information, the monitoring and audit processes from the end product to the farm were seen on site and information and experiences were gained. In order to establish the active traceability systems for foods of animal origin in our country and develop the existing ones and also for the harmonization with the EU Acquis, it was ensured within the scope of the project that the knowledge and experiences were mutually conveyed through the site visits performed for observing the good practices in Ireland and Germany. Host foreign partners of our project; Due to the fact that the Food Safety Authority of Ireland is the top institution in Ireland about the provision of the food safety, it is the institution which made the greatest contribution in implementing the project and also achieving its object. By doing office work for 2 days during the project realization, a presentation about the EU Food Legislations was made by the officials of the institution. The slaughterhouses and dairy processing plants, located in Ireland were visited during 2-day field work and so the participants gained important experiences. Euro-Cert Academy; has experiences on food safety management system (HACCP), food traceability projects and e-learning (ICT). The Institute has been engaged in many projects in the e-learning modules (ICT) on traceability. Furthermore, there are adult education learning platforms on food safety and traceability training methodologies in the Institute. It has trainers who provide adult education and vocational training on food safety, traceability systems, food processing, preservation etc. Therefore, the interaction with many food companies in Berlin is maintained. Euro-Cert Academy played a role in achieving the project’s objective by ensuring the coordination required for 2-day office work and 2-day field visit pursuant to the work plan pre-prepared for the successful implementation of the project. The participants, who are entrusted with providing training for the officials and employees of the food companies about the food safety within the scope of the project, gained adequate information and experiences on active traceability systems of the animal products which are successfully implemented in the EU countries. The information and experiences gained through these mobilities were conveyed to the officials and employees of the food companies located in our Province through the trainings and meetings organized after both mobilities. Totally 14 persons, 10 of them from our Provincial Directorate and one each person from the consortiums, attended the mobility. Our trainers attending from the EGTHM are the veterinary surgeons, agricultural and food engineers and also the official contributors who provide regular trainings for the food companies about the food safety and conduct field audits, and also the personnel who has Basic English practices, open to learning and innovations and are working at our Directorate. The participants from the consortiums, which are our local partners, are the veterinary surgeons and project coordinators who have experience in providing training and also are in constant contact with the food companies. Description of activities; A- Our activities before the mobility: 30-hour practical English course was provided for all participants before the mobility. For 8 participants from the Germany Group, 5-hour practical German language course was organized. Furthermore, 1-hour cultural trainings were provided about the region’s history, its cultural features, tourist attractions, social lives and ambulatories by the personnel of Eskişehir Provincial Directorate of Culture. Besides this, the service passport and visa procedures for Ireland were carried out without any problems. The travel insurances of all participants were made. B-Mobility activity: the mobility plans to be conducted in Ireland and Germany are same and they were planned as 2-day transportation, 4-workday office work-working visit (2-day enterprise visit, 2-day office work). 1 day was allocated for visiting the historical and cultural places of the region. C-After the mobility: the trainings for the food companies were organized within the scope of the project dissemination activities. News concerning the activities in Germany and Ireland were made. News was made in order to be published on the websites of our Provincial Directorate and consortium institutions. News was made in order to be published on many national and local newspapers. Furthermore, the project was widely included in the Facebook page opened for the project.
