The main aim of the project is to motivate young people to make handicrafts, develop creativity and willingness to do some handmade products as well introduce participants with the culture of EU countries, the same time to provide environment to teach and learn to make handicrafts of other nations in order to diminish unemployment risk . The objectives are:-to enlarge social integrity- to create the sense of belonging not only to one nation but to young generation;-to develop common understanding between youngsters- through personal meetings, discussions the overall attitude is developing as well tolerance against other nations and cultures;-to increase organizations capacity: every participant after the youth exchange would be ready to present organization after the project and share his knowledge;-to enable participants to address issues of relevance to the course such as cultural identity, Europe, discrimination, social exclusion, cultural diversity and majority-minority relations and their relevance to youth projects - acting together we can get more success in every project.Methodology: The programme incorporated a methodology designed to ensure the basic principles of active participation, holistic learning, intercultural learning, as group work, group activities, presentations, workshops and personal assignments. The programme also provided space to share experience and best practise.Activities and achieved results: during summer 6 days youth exchange in Kekava, Latvia with 30 participants (youth, youth leaders) from 5 NGO’s from 5 countries - Latvia, Romania, Lithuania, Slovenia, Turkey have learned 5 different national handicrafts, got knowledge about 5 different national cultures and values of handicrafts .
