H.A.P.P.Y. Happy Attitudes Promote Positive Youth
Start date: Feb 1, 2015, End date: Jul 31, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

H.A.P.P.Y. is a training course for youth workers/trainers to help them respond to current issues concerning young people such as unemployment, low self-esteem, lack of initiative and undemocratic attitudes. We will take a creative approach on different levels with the aim of sharing techniques and ideas on how to improve young people’s self-belief and train them to make the most of their skills and abilities. We will concentrate on the aspect of healthy and positive attitudes in order to overcome negative states of mind as well as to stimulate the spirit of initiative and entrepreneurship. Through workshops on creative thinking we will demonstrate how to enable young people to become active and informed citizens, aware of their rights and opportunities. This will, in turn, help young people to be more active in the labour market and more interested in their democratic rights. We will use case studies, group sharing, role play and other creative methods to promote positive attitudes. We will work together on improving our competences so we can raise young people’s awareness and motivate them to use their creativity to achieve desirable employment and active participation in democracy. The training course will take place in Mińsk Mazowiecki, Poland between 20th and 27th April 2015. The group will consist of 24 participants from the followings countries: Poland, Austria, Turkey, Bulgaria, Portugal, Belgium, Italy and UK. The whole training course will be implemented within the non-formal methodology. A very important element of the program will be delivery of an event “HAPPY MINSK” for local young people in order to facilitate the intercultural interaction with the project participants as well as stimulate the multiplication effect.
