GWIK : Global Work with Immigrant Kids

GSoba! Work with Immigrant Kids (GWIK) builds on the succes of the TRANSPRAC project wich addressed significant training needs in the EU and the US for a newsocial service practitioner. GWIK will continue TRANSPRAC's educational innovation by expanding into the creation of a new curriculum with focus on immigrantchildren, A key component of the GWIK curriculum will include four-month field internships at agencies providing services to immigrant children. To enhance theinternship experience, we wffl develop new didactic materials including a web-based manual for field internship supervisors, and a multMingua! glossary that focuseson the fieid of immigrant children. A total of 24 EU students and 24 US students will complete the groundbreaking GWIK cunicuium and will receive a GWIKCertificate or Diploma Supplement.
