The project “Grow up together, the second chance!”, as prosecution of the project EVS in course, involving promoters from Italy, BiR (SO and ) and Romania, IPI (HO), will enables 3 young people from Italy, to carry out the EVS for 11 months in the day centers and residential cares of IPI, or primary school (IPI network) in Rimnicu Valcea, providing children with activities related to non-formal education (sport and game activities, language animation classes, hand-craft activities). Moreover the volunteers will organise and realise activities or events to promote the active participation of young people in the local community or they will support BiR’s organizational camps. All activities, according to their own attitudes and personal interests, will carry out in collaboration with the Romanian young volunteers of Host Organisation. The project aims to enhance the solidarity and promote active citizenship and mutual understanding among young people of both countries, give them the opportunities for intercultural learning with the exchange of information and experience, to know about poverty and marginalization effects, new skills and abilities development, encouraging youngsters participation in local communities and promoting European active citizenship. This 15 months EVS project will achieve these goals by engaging not only 3 EVS volunteers but also the local volunteers of the IPI.
