Project Contents In the Netherlands, we will look at the differences and similatities in healthcare sector. In particular, animation in elderly-care. What can be used here in Belgium and what can be adapted in dealing with the elderly. In Malta the students of worldgastronomy will learn what culinary specialties are here in this country. It's better to learn preparing food in the country itself. People involved The students of animation in the elderly-care, the students of world-gastronomy, teachers of general courses (PAV, language, ...), practicalteachers, PARAGON LIMITED, the internshipplaces in Malta, 'De Hagelaar' in Best, the parents of the students, our school in general, department of internationalization of AGSO, EPOS Needs The students of Animator in elderly care gets the opportunity to discover the sector in care farms in the Netherlands. In Antwerp our no such care farms yet. Because of this internschip the students will get the opportunity to become a good animator, who will also take care of the elderly. They live on and around the farm where the elderly be cared for. Because of working in a care farm they see that there are differences in this sector. The students of Worldgastronomy get the oportunity to develop more knowledge from another gastronomical point of view. It's important that these students learn to anticipate in specific foodpreparation, techniques and to use the original exotic ingredients. A chef should be flexible and can work under specific timepressure. They should be able to deal with different personalities, cultures and workinghours than there are at school. Here they can develop into fully fledged chefs. The students get into contact with different cultures. Contact with these people will extend their image of the world and by being in contact with different cultures, they also learn to accept other cultures more. It's important that they know other cultures, so they can cope with other people in a right way in their professional and social lives. Often students are insufficiently independent. By getting them out of their intimate environment (school, home, work placements in Antwerp), they have to work on their selfconfidence to make themselves stronger and bigger .
