Green Entrepreneurship
Start date: Jan 1, 2015, End date: Sep 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project topic came from the initiative of young people from our organization and our partner organizations. "Green Entrepreneurship" youth exchange brought together 40 young people from 5 countries: France, Poland, Estonia, Italy and Czech Republic. The youth exchange took place in Roosu Talu, Sulbi, Estonia from 26 April–02 May 2015 (with the arrival day on 27.04 and departure on 3.05.2015). The present young people were able to come up with creative and innovative strategies in entrepreneurship and environment. They did not only try to change the image of practicing entrepreneurship in a society, but also gave an interesting overview of how entrepreneurship and green ideas can contribute towards our green future by analyzing the structures and problems of EU economies, as well as debating the importance of EU citizenship and responsibilities of the Europeans. The project encouraged the participants to reflect on their life styles and on the structure of the traditional economy and also supported them in creating their own green businesses. The subject of the project is extremely important now, during the economic crisis, when we face the climate change and the transformation is needed. The project consisted of series of workshops dealing with entrepreneurship, merging lifestyle and career goals, green job sector and the structure of the traditional economy. The aims were to show participants how they can use their skills to create jobs for themselves and how to contribute to development of sustainable environment.
