The project recognises the need for contemporary and state-of-the-art language training in Greek for basic science and sets out to devise and disseminate a training methodology and related trainings material for foreign employees, vocational training students, young graduates and entrepreneurs in BG, EL, ES & IT. Alongside the learning of language skills, the project will focus upon training with respect to student and vocational mobility and transnational business cooperation between partner countries. The training package will be aimed at language students at pre-intermediate and intermediate levels of competence as determined by the Association of Language Testers in Europe and the European Reference Framework for Languages. Project partners will develop CD-Rom and internet-based training material, which will contain some 24 training units, covering basic Greek; basic scientific vocabulary; scientific Greek used in Physics, mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Computer Sciences. The CD-Rom will provide students with self-study interactive exercises and will be accompanied by dictionaries, which will be translated in BG, ES & IT. Dissemination will include selected Greek-language websites and institutions teaching Greek in all EU Member States.
