The overall objective of the project is reduction in the growth rates of acquiring of disability and improvement of the level and quality of life among children residing in towns and rural areas. Achievements: 1. One fully operating mobile orthopaedic diagnostic laboratory established.2. 8500 school-age children from small towns and rural areas of the Kaliningrad region of Russia and Warmian-Masurian Voevodship of Poland passed diagnostic examination under the programme for prevention of postural disorders and scoliosis. 1170 children passed inpatient treatment and prevention activities. About 1050 children exhibited improved objective medical indicators after implementation of treatment and prevention measures.3. One unified systematized electronic database of children with postural disorders and scoliosis established and introduced.4. One comprehensive treatment and prevention program to prevent postural disorders and scoliosis among children from small towns and rural areas implemented.5. Medical facilities of sanatorium Pionersk and Ameryka hospital renovated and equipped.6. 5 innovative algorithms for inpatient prevention and treatment of postural disorders developed.7. 5 cross-border activities aimed at professional development of medical staff implemented.8. Several publications done in order to fulfill the visibility rule and for potential experience exchange and information distribution purposes.
