The idea for organising the project came from young people who took part in Youth centre Villa Elba's social youth work project and International club- activities. The aim is to organize youth exchange where we gather young people from different parts of Europe to spend some time together and learn about enviromental issues and also about intercultural cooperation. As working methods we will use environmental education, action-based outdoor activities and teamwork. By taking part in different kind of workshops in the youth exchange, participants will learng about taking care of your environment and they will also produce a handbook for greener lifestyle. Through this project we want to raise young people awareness about environment and to help them understand how we are all resbonsible for taking care of the environment. While doing outdoor and action-based activities we hope young people also to learn from each other and other cultures. We hope that after the project young people are actively taking part of taking care of the environment and also promoting environmental values in their everyday life. Through active participation on planning, and implementation of the project we want the young people to learn about active citizenship not only from point of view of protecting environment but also from the point of view of global citizenship. Participants will be 13-16 year old young people who are interested to learn more about global issues and participating in action based activities in multicultural group. There will be 8 participant from each partner country (Denmark, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Turkey, Spain, ).
