In autumn 2012 Youth Centre Villa Elba started new national Global education development project, which is supported by the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture. Project aims to develop global education methods at Youth Centres and to find means how Youth Centres could support youth workers and youth organisations to implement global education aspects at their work with youngsters. During this training course we will introuduce our work regarding global education and offer participants a chance to get to know different kind of working methods in practice. As working methods we will use practical workshops, simulation games, lectures and field visits. This training course aims to support organizations in their activities within global education, offer participants new tools for their everyday work and offer a space for exchange of ideas and project proposals. One objective of this training course is involve the idea of global education into our networks of organisations working with young people. The organisations involved works with young people from different backgrounds and cultures, so mutual understanding helps to create quality projects that will benefit the young people in our countries. We hope that during the training course we can build up a network of actors within global education. By creating such a network of global education it will be easier to stay in regular contact with each others and this way we can also spread information, project ideas and also exchange ideas and working methods.
