Circus For Inclusion GIVE ME FIVE is a youth exchange that will bring together 35 young people from five European countries, interested and / or experienced in the fields of street art and circus, who are willing to share, exchange and explore, sing different art forms as a tool for self-expression , focusing on questions of identity, integration of minorities in the (local / European) community, and immigration.The meeting will take place on the island of Gran Canaria, day 16th till 24th October, bringing together young people who have skills in various artistic fields such as the circus, dance, street art etc. This mix of cultures and concerns will be the starting point of the meeting during which young people will have time and space to exchange about their cultures, practices circus and street art, the integration of cultural minorities in society, reflecting and the diversity that exists in Europe. Respect and acceptances should be the values that we need to accept and promote in Europe, today,more than ever.Insisting on the role of art as a weapon of inclusion and inspiration for youth workers, youngsters will organize several workshops, as art can include everyone, and will be educational base in order to share and learn to value. Participants will be inspired by their own personal experiences, but also the direct encounter with young people from divers backgrounds and personal stories will bring them opportunity to explore variety of perceptions and views on the importance of coexistence and experience the diversity. Young participants will work together on the same level, enhancing exchanges and respect between each others, as well with persons with disabilities, schools, circus School with MSB, through workshops, dynamics and games, using the circus and art as a tool for social inclusion. MAIN AIMS AND OBJETIVES:- Open a space for dialogue between young people from different cultures, using the circus as a tool of expression and exchange.- Educate young people about the issue of immigration in Europe, and promote respect and tolerance between cultures- Fostering a sense of belonging to the European community among the young participants and young people and artists from St. Lucia, LPG and the island of Gran Canaria will be in contact with the group.- Increasing participation and expression of young people with fewer opportunities in the community, and the awareness of people with disabilities.- Present Circus as a formative, educational, inclusive and employment and entrepreneurship tool.- Create a common show that address the different visions that participants on immigration, the figure of the foreigner, integration difficulties that often occur. It is not intended to impose an opinion or point of view, but reflect the need for tolerance towards diversity.- Disseminate and publicize the project through a video on the whole process, creative and artistic as well as the conclusions and final assessment by participants.Through the collaboration, involvement and participation in the project of associations, public institutions, schools, occupational centers and five organizations from five countries, and cooperation with the Circus Festival Invasion (11ªedición), the multiplication result is guaranteed and creating synergies to network and carry out new projects under the Erasmus + program.
