This long-term EVS project brought 3 volunteers from Turkey, Hungary and France to Finland for 7 months volunteer period. The EVS activities took place in Vanhamäki Activity Centre and there was also some cooperation with other local partners in Suonenjoki area. The objective of this EVS cooperation was to provide fruitful intercultural learning experiences for all the partners included, especially the young volunteers, the host organisation and the local people in Suonenjoki area. All the three volunteers included were to be seen as young people with fewer opportunities, due to economic and geographic challenges in their lives. The volunteers participated in various activities in Vanhamäki centre: they worked on the organic farm of Vanhamäki and in production of organic agricultural products. The volunteers also had tasks in the garden area and they participated in implementing different happenings at the Vanhamäki centre. The volunteers also had cooperation with a local school and association of unemployed people, visiting classes and meetings and sharing their culture.
