The main objective of the proposal is to better train staff concerned with certificate evaluation in the maritime sector and to improve respective professional skills in order to identify and to combat falsification of certificates of competency during the “transfer action”. The expected results are the development of an anti-fraud package which aims to improve transparency and recognition of qualifications and competencies at European level and to increase cooperation between VET register agencies, professional organizations, the industry, training establishments and the social partners in the shipping sector. The target groups are naval students and (young) workers at sea and certificate evaluators working at seafarers registries, certification agencies, training establishments, ship management companies, ship owners, water police, trade unions and P&I clubs.
