The main aim of the project "Get into sport" was to find and overcome the causes of low level of physical activity participation among young people with disabilities. Other objectives of the project was also to encourage the participants to develop openness for other cultures and to promote international cooperation as well as getting skills in the field of implementation of audiovisual material.
The project involved 60 people from Poland, Turkey and Russia, including 36 participants - young people with visual impairments.
The exchange lasted 14 days and took place in Suprasl, Poland. During the exchange the participants took part in various activities, that used non-formal education methods, ex. workshops, brainstorming, teamwork, trips.
The results of the project consist from: preparation of simplified team games and activities for blind and visually impaired people; preparation and realization of 3 videos presenting the physical activity of blind and partially sighted, and to promote Erasmus+ programm and opportunities it creates. Another result is also creating among the participants attitude of openness to intercultural cooperation and understanding of diversity.
The impact of the project is recognised locally, nationally as well as internationally. The ideas developed during the project are used during sport activities with blind and partially sighted, and the movies created during the project have been shown in Poland, Russia and North Korea.
