PROJECT
FINISHED
The project is targeted at establishing a common network among nature-oriented people (particularly for school teachers teaching nature sciences and similar university staff, nature museums guides, environmentalists and tourism entrepreneurs) that enables a better understanding and proper information dissemination about our common geologic history as well as regional development peculiarities over the past 700 million years and a thorough introduction of most pronounced nature monuments as tourist destination sites in both countries. For this purpose, 16 thematic travel guides will be compiled and published, 13 educational documentary video films on DVD will be released, web-forum will be set up, instructional seminars arranged. The conclusive events for the project will be openings of two (one in Estonian and the other in Finnish language) comprehensive travelling poster and nature photo exhibitions with educational videos: "Geologic history and nature monuments of Estonia and Southern Finland". Both exhibitions will be shown in major larger towns of Southern Finland and Estonia during 2008 year after the project completion.
