PROJECT
FINISHED
Gárdonyi Géza Vocational School has participated in several successful mobility projects for the last years within Leonardo and Erasmus + mobility programmes. The students participating in these projects could increase their knowledge within Germany, in Berlin and Leipzig, within Italy, in Lavagna –Liguria- and Caorle- located on the coast of Adriatic Sea. Our professional trainers and teachers having personal work experiences from abroad are committed fans of this kind of professional training. We are planning to give fifteen underprivileged students the opportunity to travel to the popular tourism destination and holiday resort, Caorle, also known as ‘the little Venince’ in the summer of 2017. Two colleagues will help them to integrate during the staying and they will supervise their professional development. Moreover they will enlarge the students’ cultural and geographical knowledge with leisure time programmes. Thanks to the good professional and human relationship with the professionals of traditional inns, restaurants and confectioneries of the city, made during the previous professional trainings, the students can get the best place according to their abilities and personality. It dramatically influences the effectivity of the project in a positive way. As the city is a famous tourism destination, the employees of its catering establishments can speak foreign languages, in this way the students can practise Italian and they have the opportunity to use the foreign language they learn at school as well. Our main aim besides improving professional training is to reinforce the linguistic competences, help to improve the students’ personality in a positive way and arouse their interests in self-training and learning. Their professional knowledge and their perspective will expand with getting to know new ingredients, producing technologies and logistic methods. The new opportunities can make them more flexible and conformist. The team cohesion will improve. The results of abroad training can be measured in further years but give opportunities for making professional relationship, gaining information about being employed abroad and arouse their initiative and rational risk-taking. The usage of these experiences in the curricula help the adaptation of the needs of the changed job market and the race condition. In addition these experiences promote to decrease the disadvantages of the students and help them to close up.The further aim of the project is to make the job market opportunities better in the national and international, mainly in the European field and to fit the professional training into the changed social and economic circumstances. The popularity of our school, the positive judgement of professional training, the appreciation of physical working and the importance of language knowledge can be improved with the proper dissemination. We hope that in case of successful project we can contribute for training marketable professionals with up-to-date knowledge who can stand their ground in our country and abroad as well.
