Start date: Aug 1, 2016,
End date: Jun 30, 2017
PROJECT
FINISHED
The traditional games are a significant part of the culture of every country. A game is composed by rules and uses shared by all the members of a group. It reflects the historical, geographical, educational, social and economical conditions of the community it belongs to. Recovering the popular games contents and comparing them in an International context is the opportunity to encourage the cultural exchange between the participants. The objective of the international youth exchange GAME II is to elaborate a plan of common game activities which will promote the interaction between the participants and the local community, developing a different approach to the territory. The multicultural group composed of 25 youngsters between 18 and 30 years and 5 youth leaders, coming from 5 different countries (Italy, Portugal, Romania, Poland and Bulgaria) will meet from 27th of September to 06th October 2016, using as base the Cemea’s house in Oriolo Romano. After sharing the cultural elements of traditional games discovered in their own countries, they will have the possibility to discover the Oriolo most evocative places and realize some "new games", contributing to create our common European heritage and identity. The multicultural group will also organise a public event: local community will be invited to "play" with the participants in different and original game paths in Oriolo, discovering their own European traditions.
