The project "Gamble your chance" address the need for young people need for greater competitiveness and employability on the European labor market. Lack of knowledge, skills and competencies has a negative impact on the ability for independent living and personal development of young people. Young people in Zagorje are no exception. The project draws attention to the effects and benefits of volunteer work as opportunitie for young people to learn, gain experience, skills and key job competencies. The participants will become a vital part of the team of Youth center Zagorje ob Savi and together with us, they will create content, which fits to the needs of our local youth and other inhabitants. Through this content, which is mostly prepared in accordance with the principles of non-formal education, we promote the effects and benefits of volunteering and close to Erasmus +. Two participants will through pre-planned process truly become an active part of our community, which they will inform through their own events, through their work in our daily center and through their multimedia products. From time to time, they will present their activities on primary schools, they will cooperate with the local high school, the intergenerational center and with other interested NGO’s in our municipality. The learning process will volunteer activities to improve their skills for personal development and employability on the European labor market. By communicating in English they will raise the level of competence to communicate in a foreign language. Working in a multinational group and stay in the new environment will increase the understanding of other cultures and countries, increased autonomy and self-esteem. By working in an EVS project able to recognize learning outcomes of voluntary work and improve learning performance, enhance their active participation in the society. The work in the stimulating and supportive environment of youth center will increase their motivation for further education or training once they return home.
