The project title of the planned project of Contact Europe Foundation (hereinafter: Foundation) is ?Gaining experience in wine-making". Within the project 15 participants studying at secondary school of freshly graduated ones will receive the chance to do a nearly 4 months vocational training at the winery of Tenuta Sant?Antonio. The project will have an Autumn and a Spring term. The first group (8 participants) will stay from 1st September 2014 till 21st December 2014, while the second group (7 participants) will do a vocational training from 2nd February 2015 till 24th May 2015 at vineyard Tenuta Sant?Antonio. We have divided the project into two terms because the vineyard told us they would happily host trainees during both periods while the secondary schools informed us that they could recruit participants both for Autumn and Spring. During the Autumn period the harvesting and winemaking while during the Spring period the cutting and crop caring will be the focus. The execution of the work plan and the professional development of the participants will be examined by the tutors, who could be asked about professional issues.
The participants will be recruited by our cooperative partners the Soós István Winemaking and Business Secondary School and Magyar Gyula Horticultural Secondary School. With them we can be sure that the participants will have the necessary professional background based on the work plan.
The main goal of the project is the participants gain professional experience during their training time at Tenuta Sant?Antonio. With fulfilling the work plan during the 16 weeks the participants will learn skills and competencies which improve their chances to find a job easier at the labor market. Without taking part in this project the participants will probably could not learn such skills and competencies, which are crucial in such a practical profession.
Taking part in the project will be profitable for the participants and for the project partners as well. Secondary Schools will give relevant aspects for the participants which could lead them how to prepare their work diary. The Secondary Schools would like to use the experience and results of the participants to integrate them into their teaching methods or use it in future projects.
The short effect of the project is the professional and linguistic improvement of the participants as well as their better chances at the labor market. The longer impact is those results which could be implemented into the teaching methods and ease the way from the school to the labor market. The project also helps the international cooperation between education and competitive market.
